WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD!!!!

I see trees of green........ red roses too
I watch 'em bloom..... for me and for you
And I think to myself.... what a wonderful world.
I see skies of blue..... clouds of white
Bright blessed days....warm sacred nights
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world.
The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty ..in the sky
Are there on the faces.....of people ..going by
I see friends shaking hands.....sayin'.. how do you do
They're really sayin'......I love you.
I hear babies cry...... I watch them grow
They'll learn much more.....than I'll never know
And I think to myself .....what a wonderful world

What a wonderful world by louis armstrong.. I loaded this song in my cellphone a few days back.. just to break the monotony from what i was listening to earlier.. thought that a few classics would do me good.. for a while atleast.. and it did..
Alone.. strolling on the hostel terrace .. plugging in my earphones i plugged out the roaring of the seas a few hundred metres away.. plunging into euphoria.. though i've listened to the song lotsa times earlier.. this was the first time i actually felt the song.. Dunno if the lyrics appealed to me or the voice.. i believe its the latter that did the trick..
i actually could feel louis armstrong walkin in a park, pretzel and ice cream stalls, children playing and chattering, dogs pleasing their masters with their frisbee catchin skills, lovers hushin and giggling admist all the chaos, new mothers on park benches showin off their cute babies to the passers by... Now i know wat hollywood has done to me.. watched soo many movies that iam simulating and integrating all happy endings in this little head of mine..sigh... lol
iam not being mawkish here. any person with a substantial amount of emotions cultivated in them or atleast thrusted upon them ( believe me i know quite a few ppl of this category) if asked to give a thought about the song will come up with a narrative like this.
the question that now arises in my mind is that why do we associate only a few events to defining a "happy" "wonderful" world?? this song was released in 1968.. till today the tradition is kept alive and kicking in the movies.. today each individual is learning to define happiness in his/her own way.. the basic essence of individualism..
[ interruption here.. i've always related this to colours.. you look at an object and say its red and de second person agrees.. affirmations from all the ppl that its red but how can one be sure if all the people see the colour "red" the same way?? "red is after all just a name and wat's in a name ;-)] its hardly revealed and shared with others.. unless hiding your pleasures from everyone gives you ultimate pleasure.. moral of the story.. no new endings for movies.. lol
this is my first blog.. so it seemed natural that i reason out to myself as to why the hell am i doing this.
i believe this medium is simply stands unbeaten in the extent of information and thought exchange. People are using this forum to share their best moments and things that bring them joy.. a panacea for those who are running short of ideas and are bored with life as such.. lol
and i being a benevolent darling share all my happy moments with my inner circle ( will define 'inner circle' in a later narrative).. imbibing ideas.. brewing new strange concotions for having fun in life.. may be cuz i find accomplices this way.. he he.. and whenever i'm dehydrated of ideas i'll borrow brain cells from all these people i know :-) cheers.
