You've got mail :-)

I watched "You've got mail" for the nth time and i just finished. Remembering the good old days when "You've got mail" is one of the most exciting and romantic phrases that one gets to hear... But then you grow old and things change and you'd rather not get mails now. esp when you're in a b school.. lol

I dunno what's with girls and doing things over and over again. I just can't believe myself. I have like a zillion books to read and a million movies to watch and after a really really hectic day ( I have been working on a competition with a friend all morning and then a huge cut-copy-paste assignment and then a big quiz at 6 followed by two classes until 11:30 and then a li'l badminton) I sit down to watch a movie and this movie of all the things!! Then i sorta reasoned it out to myself that on somedays you rather eat things that you like a lot than try out something new :-) veththu analogy i know but still works...

Oh the movie is soo brilliantly made.. I can so superbly relate to Katherine (Meg Ryan) and just when i was thinking how i could say mean stuff to my friend here just because i was in a cranky mood and then regret it big time, she did the same exact thing. Ding nu bell adichidhu manda la :-) And i talk a lot like her and get carried away while doing so. So much so that i don't even know what the other person is thinking. (Just read on i don't care if you're interested or not :-P) And i am as passionate about li'l things and like her i always  want to throw all this non sequitur on someone really close, a soul mate type of person.. :-)

I'll stop the jabbering here. I feel like i am running out of breath!!

TIME

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then the one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but you're older
And shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desparation is the English way
The time is gone the song is over, thought I'd something more to say

Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
When I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away, across the field, tolling on the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
And hear the softly spoken magic spell
